The group classes are run as part of Ruthin Canine Society and follow the nationally recognised Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme.
This starts with Puppy Foundation and then the Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards. However there is no obligation to take tests and you can progress through the class levels without them.
Dogs of any age can join a class and start training. Classes are fun & informative and you will meet like minded people. I aim to make them a social event for the humans as well as the dogs!
You will learn:
🐾 Social behaviour around other dogs and people
🐾 Loose lead walking
🐾 Focus & recall
🐾 Cooperative grooming & handling
🐾 Play and leave with toys
🐾 Send to bed & settle
🐾 Emergency stop
And more!!
The classes are held at Llanfair DC Village Hall which is a great space and equipped with a large non slip mat, making it safe & comfortable for dogs of all ages. There are also opportunities for road walking/socialising.
The current timetable at Llanfair DC Village Hall is:
Thursday 9.30am – 10.30am Puppies / Beginners
Thursday 6.00pm -7.00pm Puppies / Beginners
Thursday 7.00pm -8.00pm Intermediate

Puppies First Course £85 which includes 8 classes, a personal progress diary & a rosette & certificate when you pass Puppy Foundation level.
Continuing training £80 for 8 classes
I also teach the Good Citizen Scheme at Forests & Fetch in Nercwys, Mold.
In addition to the Good Citizen classes, I also present workshops on a variety of topics such as recall, loose lead walking, engagement games & various dog sports. Most workshops are 2 hours and include course notes and a certificate of attendance. Check out the Facebook page for details of forthcoming events.
